The term “aspects” refer to the geometric angles planets form to one another in a birth chart. It’s these angles (read: Aspects) that describe the relationship between those planets (e.g., Mars trine Saturn, Moon sextile Pluto, etc.). In Astrology, the square and opposition indicate hardships, while trines are seen as blessings. Yet, without the challenging aspects, the so-called easy aspects have little value.
